Who are you voting for?

Every four years, millions of Christian people lose their minds, and vote America into oblivion. Rather than asking God who should be president, many Americans believe they are qualified to choose a candidate. When a man that is not qualified to fly a plane, attempts to fly one, he will slam it into a mountain. When a man who is not Scripturally prepared to choose who should be president, he slams his country into a Mt. Judgement.
Rather than sitting at the controls with no training, the guide-book should be consulted. As any thinking Christian can tell you, our only guide-book is the Bible, and we look to it accordingly.

Here are three major issues.

Life

Pro 8:36
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Ever since the case of Roe v. Wade and even somewhat before that, murder has been legal in America. The Auorora shootings of 71 people was a tragic calamity, however, it is nothing compared to the number of children legally aborted each year by  professional murderers.

Since this filthy and vile practice became legal, we have had Republican presidents and yet, have one of them stopped the tearing apart of little babies? Have one of them signed the death warrant of a man who vacuums out the brains of little children? Would any of the current candidates do this? No.

Monetary Policy

The idea of distribution of wealth comes from the communists, as does property tax and income tax. The founding fathers went to war over much less taxation than what we stand at present.
There is no sanction in the Bible for legalized thievery. Nowhere does it say, "thou shalt not steal unless thou art the government." If the thug takes my money and gives it to his child for school it is called robbery. If the government takes it, it is called taxation. Taking money from the current generation to pay for what the government stole from the last generation is still stealing. Rather than putting a gun to our heads, they are putting laws around our necks. We are forced to pay because someone else lost a job, or because someone else wants free
food, or because someone else wants to send their child to college.
The Scriptures give commands as to how the poor are to be taken care of, and that is not by the state, the state wields the sword, not the bottle. The Bible tells us that the family is to take care of its members, and then the church.

Military

I will not belabor this point, however, any president who sends his army to fight in unjust wars is an unjust president. Also, any president who would send women to step on mines is not Biblicaly qualified to be president. Again and again in the Old Testament we see that men are to do the fighting. Men are the protectors, men are the providers. We do not send our girls to shoot machine-guns at terrorists while Daddy stays home and changes diapers.

Conclusion

In the end, if a man (or a woman) does not recognize God as the supreme authority, if they do not believe the Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, they are, to quote the scriptures, are a fool, and they will put on the accelerator as we hurtle ever closer towards the mountain.
Allow me to close with a quote by our first president in his farewell address.

Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.

Through His Strength We Will Conquer,

Andrew C. Abbott

  1. I'm so glad you understand this, Andrew. Many, many Christians, as you have said, put their trust in fallen men who don't fear God, which the Bible says is a foolish thing to do (Psalm 118:6-9, Psalm 146:3, Jeremiah 17:5-9). Instead we should be FAITH-FULL to God and uphold His standards for public office, trusting that He will bless our faith, and that whatever happens, we are His.

As Samuel Rutherford and Stonewall Jackson said,
"Duties are ours, events are God's!"
